Physical mechanisms of mechanochemical coupling in biological molecular motors, using F1 ATPase as the major model system to illustrate general principles and experimental approaches in the field. Applications of biochemistry, structure determination, single-molecule tracking and manipulation, protein engineering, and computational techniques to the study of molecular motors.
