Download as PDF

Course Description

PWR 1 courses focus on developing writing and revision strategies for rhetorical analysis and research-based arguments that draw on multiple sources. This class takes as its theme international development projects which have marked every sector of global society. We will unpack and interrogate the numerous discourses around international "development" as a strategy for achieving social change and look at how culture, history, politics, and economics have informed development's connections to capitalism, modernity, and most recently, globalization.
